The Bartow County Saddle Club, established in 1961, is the oldest saddle-riding club in Georgia. The membership is made up of people who love horses, mules and the enjoyment that goes with them. The Club is a non-profit organization that helps under-privileged children throughout the Bartow County area. In conjunction with the Phillips Rodeo Productions the Club donates two scholarships through the Etowah Education Foundation to deserving students from Cartersville and Bartow County. Through the proceeds of the Club ad sales shoes are bought for underprivileged children and the Hickory Log Home for Men. The Club also sponsors a number of families at Christmas so they will have food on the table and the children will have presents under the tree.

The club is situated on 13 acres outside Cartersville, just off Burnt Hickory Road. It is a tranquil setting for families to participate in equestrian events or just sit back and relax and enjoy the beauty of the day and the events.
